Steve, a gregarious and creative nerve that fired so often and so brightly that even he could not survive it's force and remain with us as long as we wished.

Steve, We went through some tremendous times together...espescially after you graduated. If I get you another job please try to not crash the car.

Steve was so funny and creative.  I boarded a flight home from London, ill with the flu, trip cut short by three weeks, and thought I was hallucinating when I saw Steve on board.  But no, as we changed planes at O'Hare, he recognized me too, even through the coughing, sneezing, and tissues.  Uff da, it's a small world.  He's still making people laugh, I'll bet, "on a higher plane."
